At the time when the world is celebrating the World Cup and the atmosphere of sports,

Egypt national team coach Hosam Hassan got angry and lost his temper just because he saw the Israeli flag in the stands,

And unfortunately spat towards the crowd.

As an Arab Israeli citizen I say it out loud,

This behavior does not represent me, does not represent the Arabs and does not represent the Egyptians.

I as an Arab living here study, work and build my future in the State of Israel with all respect and safety.

I see the real coexistence every day on the ground.

When a big coach behaves in this way he ignores the existence of millions of Arabs who

became part of the shared life and chooses to feed hatred instead of the sports spirit.

Israel is a reality, and coexistence is the truth that we live,

And not an angry outburst in a stadium is what changes reality or erases our existence.

Stadiums were made to bring peoples together on love and fair competition,

Not for settling cheap political scores and distorting the game.
